Virtú Investments was formed in 1997 by Michael Green and Scott McWhorter. Virtú has subsequently acquired and operated a multi-market portfolio of more 15,000 apartment units as well as several office, industrial, and hotel investments.

Virtú’s core strategy has been to purchase distressed or under-performing real estate where there is an opportunity to add value, in cities with a strong demand for housing. Virtú has demonstrated its flexibility by opportunistically purchasing apartment complexes with reposition potential due to mismanagement, undercapitalization, or eminent expiration of rent restrictions. Virtu is my favorite sponsor to date. Their reporting is clear and their returns have been solid.

Virtu has a great track record and have been in the business for awhile. I am invested in a single asset multifamily deal.  They offer ACH payments, monthly distributions on certain deals and quarterly reports. Communication seems to be a hit/miss depending on who you talk to.
